This page explains what information School X collects when you visit, why, and what choices you have.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you, unless you give it to us. You can read every page on this site without providing any personal information.
You give us information in two situations. If you leave a comment, we store the name, email address and comment text you submit, along with your IP address, to moderate it and to display the comment. If you contact us to report an error, we keep what you send us for as long as it takes to deal with it.
Like almost every website, our server records standard technical data on each request: the page requested, the time, your browser type and your IP address. This is used to keep the site working and to understand which pages are read.
Cookies and advertising
This site is funded by advertising. Advertising partners, including Google, may set cookies in your browser and use them to show advertisements based on your previous visits to this and other websites.
You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google at google.com/settings/ads, and from many other vendors at aboutads.info/choices. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works with cookies disabled.
We also set a cookie if you leave a comment, so your name and email are remembered the next time you comment. That is a convenience only and you can decline it.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not ask for examination numbers, registration numbers, NIN, result checker PINs or payment details, and you should never send them to us. No legitimate site needs them.
- We do not send marketing email. We have no mailing list.
Children
Much of our audience is of secondary school age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not require anyone to create an account or submit personal details to read the site. If you are a parent and believe your child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Contact us and we will act on it.
Links to other sites
We link to examination board portals and other external sites. We do not control them and this policy does not apply to them. Read their own policies before submitting anything.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the change will be noted on this page with its date.
